Conversations with the Geriatric Gymnast

I made this logo all by myself!!
Not bad for an old chick.

As if I didn’t have anything better to do, I’ve embarked upon a new project. Along with this blog, the Changed for the Better podcast and blog, and working full-time as a high school dance and PE teacher, I was inspired to create a little something to further celebrate my cultish adult gymnastics obsession.

For a long time, I’ve been thinking about something like this project. A little over two years ago, I published I am a Gymnastics Addict, something I wrote years ago about my entry into the “cult.” Last January, I wrote my first official Geriatric Gymnastics blog post about where I am in my 5th decade of life and talk about the joys and successes, trials and tribulations of flipping at 50.

Now, as I talk to my flippy friends about our experience progressing through the challenges of acquiring gymnastics skills, I will be sharing the inside scoop of what it’s like to walk into a gym, and summon the courage to jump on a trampoline, pull yourself up over a bar, stand on your hands and flip over things.

Take a look at the introduction to my new YouTube channel!

I hope you are inspired to share the blog and maybe subscribe to the YouTube channel. I’ll be talking to some really inspiring people who are bound to make you smile.
